Leading scholars from theology, religious education, sociology, and digital studies will lead the conversations at TREDT 2027.
The keynote speakers will deliver plenary lectures that outline the conceptual framework of TREDT 2027, drawing connections between theology, education, and the digital transformation of religious knowledge. Bringing together internationally renowned scholars from diverse academic fields and religious traditions, the conference ensures broad thematic coverage and encourages interdisciplinary as well as interreligious exchange. Their lectures will explore how digital media, artificial intelligence, and new communicative practices are reshaping the production, transmission, and reception of religious knowledge — challenging long-standing notions of authority, authenticity, and normativity within both academic and faith-based contexts. Spanning theological traditions, methodological orientations, and geographical perspectives, the keynote programme aims to open a thoughtful and rigorous dialogue on the conditions of religious learning and interpretation in an era of accelerating technological transformation.
Invited speakers contribute focused presentations across the key thematic areas of the conference, bringing regional and disciplinary diversity to the programme.
Keynote and invited speakers will be revealed in the coming months. Send us an email and we'll notify you as soon as the programme is published.
